Description

Bastide Le Murier is a very beautiful holiday home with a living area of 195m2. The house can accommodate up to 8 people. The detached Bastide is situated on a private plot of 4400m2, has a heated private pool, and is within walking distance of the center of the charming village of Lorgues with its many restaurants and terraces. The holiday home has 5 bedrooms, 4 of which are in the main house and one in the adjacent studio. Adjacent to the living room, there is a sunny terrace with a large dining table for 10 people. Under the large plane trees (Murier), you can enjoy a delightful lunch with a glass of local rosé in the shade during the summer.

EXTERIOR

After passing through the entrance gate, you reach the front of the bastide via the driveway. This access road is not suitable for low sports car models as it is quite bumpy. At the front of the house, you have ample parking space.

Both from the living room and the kitchen, there is a view of the beautifully landscaped garden. Adjacent to the living room, there is a sunny terrace with a large dining table for 10 people. The large plane tree (Murier) next to the dining table provides the desired shade. From this terrace, a small staircase leads to the heated pool, which is about 8 x 4 meters. At the beginning of the pool, there is a wide step where you can enjoy the sun with a drink. This area is also ideal for small children.

Next to the pool, there is a covered terrace with two sunbeds and plenty of loungers around the pool. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower, a Weber charcoal barbecue, a pizza oven, and a treehouse for the children.

INTERIOR

Bastide le Murier is a very nice holiday home with a living area of 195m2, suitable for up to 8 people. The detached Bastide is situated on a private plot of 4400m2, has a private pool, and is within walking distance of the center of the charming village of Lorgues with its nice restaurants and terraces. The holiday home has 5 bedrooms, 4 in the main house and one in the adjacent studio.

The house is tastefully decorated and spacious, with a beautiful bright living room with French doors opening to the garden. There is a sitting room with a fireplace, TV with international channels, stereo, and WiFi internet connection.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a large dining table and a bar. The open luxury kitchen is equipped with various appliances such as a 4-burner gas stove with oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave. There is a guest toilet in the central hall.

First floor: landing, separate toilet. Bedroom 1 with a double bed and a private bathroom with shower and sink. Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 have double beds and a large shared bathroom with walk-in shower, large freestanding bath, and sink. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes with hanging and storage space, as well as hypoallergenic duvets and pillows.

The fifth bedroom is located in the studio. It is next to the kitchen and has a private entrance. It has a double bed of 2.00×1.60m, a spacious wardrobe, and a separate shower, sink, and toilet. There is also a Senseo coffee machine available. This is an ideal place for a holiday with grandparents.

It is about 800 meters to walk to Lorgues, where you will find the bakery, butcher, fishmonger, various supermarkets, terraces, and restaurants. In the surrounding area, there are numerous wine chateaux and the well-known Provencal markets. The Tuesday morning market in Lorgues is highly recommended. The beaches of Frejus and St. Tropez are located 35 km away. The cities Nice, Cannes, Toulon/Hyeres are all within 1 hour reach.

ACTIVITIES

Starting from the villa, there are lots of things to do:
Swimming, fishing, canoeing, mountain-biking and more.

There are 3 golf courses nearby as well as tennis courts and riding centers. The Gorges du Verdon are 45 minutes’ drive away – here you can enjoy climbing, mountain-biking and canoeing.

The sea is 45 minutes’ drive away, and in winter excellent ski stations like Isola 2000 are 2 hours away by car. Valberg is 90 minutes away – this is a typical mountain village with wooden chalets and lovely outdoor terraces. It is 78 km north of Nice.

In the neighborhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, riding , water sports, tennis , mountain climbing, hang-gliding, para-gliding.

RESTAURANTS, FOOD & WINE

Numerous bistros and restaurants in the area. We recommend the famous restaurant Bruno at Lorgues, known for its truffle-based specialities. The atmospheric café terraces are just the place to enjoy a glass of rosé under shady plane trees. There are plenty of local vineyards where the owners are happy to give you a tasting of their wines.
